Weigh in Wednesday {2/26/14}




Ok, so I'm a day late but for good reason... My Eli was sick :( he had it coming out both ends...TMI sorry! Anyhow, back to the weigh in... As many of you know I do advocare and have for 2 years now... A friend recently introduced me to this thing called ZEAL and I was like 'no thanks, I do advocare' she said that I really needed to try it and told me that she has lost 27lbs...so I took the sample thinking maybe she'll just leave me alone now... put it on my fridge and started checking ZEAL out {you know research... I'm not putting anything in my body that I don't know about} fast forward a week and she asks me to come over on Friday {2/21/14}... I had just left the gym and went over, she had the protein shake waiting for me. OH EM GEE!!! It was so good, it's made by Bluebell {as in the ice cream co.} She started telling me about the company and how it all works... I went home and talked to my husband, who was not wanting to leave advocare in the slightest. SO, in a weeks time {almost} just drinking the Wellness and a few protein shakes, I've lost almost 7 lbs!!! This after I've been STUCK for weeks {4 months really} So I decided to be a consultant! you can check out my website and see what I'm talking about HERE!

Now on to something YUMMY! I tried Hummus for the 1st time this week and love it! I know it's not new but it's new to me!

Changes....

Changes are soon to be coming... and because y'all are always so interested in my posts your gonna the inside scoop! I am strongly considering switching from Advocare to Zeal... I'm super excited and alittle bit nervous about it! I'd love to get your feed back, what do y'all think?

Menu Plan Monday {2/24/14}




I'm running behind, but this is what I have planned! We are supposed to be getting some colder weather sometime this week, so I might need to move some meals! Hope everyone has a fantastic week!

We had a crazy weekend with Valentines, and then BBQs and my mother in laws birthday.... Yesterday it didn't let up either! So here I am today putting in our plans!

Monday- Goulash {my way}
Tuesday- Southwest chicken lettice wraps, with guacamole
Wednesday- Awana's {leftovers}
Thursday- Sloppy Joes and fries
Friday- Grilled Chicken, zucchini
Saturday-Dinner with the In laws
Sunday- loaded baked potato and chicken casserole

Weight in Wednesday {2/12/14}



Good morning! Welcome to weigh in Wednesday! I have made it back on track after a bad eating weekend! I restarted on Monday and am back on my ADVOCARE eating schedule and taking my CATALYST before my workouts! Yesterday i started P90X {not my favorite} and I'm a little sore today!

Weigh in Wednesday! {2.5.14}


it's time for Weigh in Wednesday! Gosh, sometimes it's SO hard to stay on track... Not that I've been eating terrible but I'm just frustrated and want nothing more then to eat a big ol greasy cheese burger and yummy cheese fries then not workout for how ever long I feel like... I feel stuck!!!! Anyone else ever feel like this???? Well... Enough of my pity party... let's find some motivation!

I started this saying I didn't care what the scale said as long as I fell better about myself!
 
 

Ok, now onto something yummy that's not too bad for you! I've been looking into carb cycling and so I've been looking for more options for low carb... I came across this and wanted to share!


Kaye over at My healthy Journey posted 90 days of Low carb recipes... you can check them out HERE and I just love this one {here}

Lower-Carb Chicken Lettuce Wraps
  • 2 Tbsp. light/low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Splenda brown sugar blend, not packed (if you’d prefer to use real brown sugar, increase quantity to 1 Tbsp.)
  • 2 tsp. chili garlic sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. sesame oil
  • 8–10 ounces boneless skinless chicken, cooked and cubed
  • 1 cup canned water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup bean sprouts (I use the fresh ones from the produce section rather than the canned because they have better texture)
  • 3/4 cup chopped shiitake mushrooms (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped scallions/green onions
  • 8–12 leaves from lettuce such as iceburg, hearts of Romaine (not the dark-green, leafy exterior leaves), bibb, or escarole. You could also use green or red cabbage, if that’s more to your taste.
To prepare sauce, in a small bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, chili-garlic sauce, and sesame oil. Stir well and set aside.

In a large skillet preheated over medium heat, combine chicken, water chestnuts, bean sprouts, and mushrooms (if using). Sauté about 1 minute. Add the sauce and stir to combine well. Cook 2–3 minutes more, until sauce begins to thicken slightly. Add scallions, stir, and cook 1 additional minute.

Divide mixture evenly between the lettuce “cups” and wrap up to eat.
